3D-Printed Stop-Motion Animation for Christmas Quest

Merry X-mas! We used 3D Printing combined with stop-motion animation to bring all Anycubic users to a small theater.
And we hope you enjoy the story between the printed Knight and Ajatar!

Ajatar, it represents the evil spirits in some folklore.
When a brave knight met an evil dragon on Christmas night, what would happen?

Let's watch a stop-frame animation short video directed by Anycubic.
A small game before watching the video - Question: How many printers are there in the video?
(PS: the answer and the 3D files download is at the bottom of the page)

How We Made It?

Let's playback the video, and see what's behind the scenes.

Three Main Steps to Finish.

1. Printed Models:

We used Anycubic Vyper and Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K to print the dragon, the knight, sofa, fireplace, gifts, etc. And Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus to do powerful washing and 360° curing.

2. Decorated the House:

After all the 3d prints were painted, other accessories and tools were also needed to arrange this little stage. Once the prep work was done. Action!

Step2: Decorating with Anycubic mini printer prints.

3. Captured Frames:

We used stop-motion animation, also called stop-frame animation, to create a fluid movement by capturing objects frame-by-frame. From the video, we can see that the shooting process requires a lot of patience.

Step3: Moving the object to capture the frame.
