Mastering Photon Mono M5s: Guide to 3X Fast Resin Printing

The demand for fast resin printing among 3D printing enthusiasts has been on the rise, and consumer-grade resin printers are also breaking through with the technology. This guide helps users take advantage of the full potential of fast resin printers, focusing on the Anycubic Phton Mono M5s, which balances print quality with print speed. It comes with a 12K LCD screen and is capable of achieving an average print speed of 105mm/h, which can greatly enhance creators' efficiency. Continue reading, the following is a six-step guide to using the Anycubic Photon Mono M5s for fast resin printing.

Mastering Fast Resin Printing: 6 Steps on Anycubic Photon Mono M5s

Step 1: Slicing and Preparing for Fast Printing

Please use Anycubic slicing software Photon Workshop 3.1 or above for slicing. You can download and install the software from the included USB drive or from the official website. The software has been upgraded to become more intelligent and user-friendly, optimizing the slicing process for high-speed resin printing, so you can maximize your printing efficiency and success.

Step 2: Matching of High-speed Resin

To achieve fast resin printing on Anycubic Phton Mono M5s, you need to use specially designed Anycubic high-speed resin. Compared with ordinary resin, high-speed resin has lower viscosity and better fluidity. During the printing process, high-speed resin can be quickly and accurately distributed on each layer, which reduces the time needed for printing and allows the Anycubic Photon Mono M5s to reach a printing speed of 105mm/h.

Step 3: Use the Correct Printing Parameters

Configuring print parameters is critical to achieving a balance between print speed and print quality, and realize the full potential of high-speed resin printing. On the slicing software Photon Workshop 3.1, you can choose the printing parameters pre-configured for Anycubic Photon Mono M5s, or adjust it to suit your needs.

Step 4: Please process the model as necessary

  • Reducing the overall weight of the model will increase the printing success rate. Please follow the steps below to process it. "Hollow", Set "Wall Thickness (2mm)", "Infill Structure (None)", "Apply/Update".
  • After the shell is hollowed out, there will be some resin residue in the cavity that must be punched in the model. Please follow the steps below to process it. "Punch" ➡ Set "Grooce Depth" (the value must be greater than the wall thickness of 2mm) ➡ "Click" the desired printing position of the model to add a hole, generally near the lowest and highest points of the model.
  • Check "Enable Support in Shell" in the support settings interface to ensure that there is support inside the model to support it.

Step 5: Print on Photon Mono M5s

Please use a USB drive/cloud platform to send your sliced file to Photon Mono M5s. You can choose to save the sliced file to a USB drive and then insert the USB drive into the printer for printing. You can also upload the sliced file to the cloud server after slicing and start printing by selecting the corresponding file from the APP.

  • Note: High-speed printing sliced files cannot currently be achieved on the mobile APP.

Step 6: Please Use Photon Mono M5s Original Release Film for Printing

The original release film of Anycubic Phton Mono M5s is ACF release film, which is different from the release film of other models. Using ACF release film, the release force is small during the printing process, allowing faster printing speed and higher printing success rate.
